80TORMENT, PRESSURE AND PUNISHMENT IN THE GRAVE
1- “When we went to the graveyard with our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, the Prophet sat down. He was looking at the graves and then he said:
“The soul of the believer, here, is to be so pressured that his or her vascular veins and muscles will be nearly torn. The unbeliever’s grave is filled with fire.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 193; Imam Ahmad, also narrated by Hakim Tirmidhi Bayhaki)
***
2- “When the daughter of the Prophet, Zaynab passed away, we visited the Prophet. We saw him in sorrow. He sat down next to her grave and began to look to the sky. Then he stepped down into the grave. He was still sorrowful. After leaving the grave, he was joyful. We asked him why. He said:
‘I was concerned with the narrowness of the grave and her weakness. I prayed that it be diminished and this was accepted. Yet, she could not escape the pressure of the grave, which makes one cry with a voice louder than everyone, but the humans and jinn cannot hear.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 195; Tabari narrated from Anas)
***
3- One day, Aisha said to the Prophet:
“O Prophet! I cannot do anything since you mentioned the voice of Munqar and Naqir and the pressure in the graveyard.”
“O Aisha! The voices of Munqar and Naqir are like kohl and the pressure in the grave is like a compassionate hug of a mother. She hugs her child when it is ill with compassion. O Aisha! Shame on those who complain of Allah. Those will be compressed in their graves like an egg.” [Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 199; Bayhaki Ibn Manda, Daylami and Ibn Najjar narrated from Said Ibn Musayyab (radhiallahu anhu)]
***
4- Abu Nuaym narrated from Abdullah Ibn as-Shagir in his book Hilya:
“Whoever recites Ikhlas during his last moments will be free from fitna and the pressure of the grave. On the Judgment Day, he will be transferred by the angels.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 200; Abu Nuaym narrated from Abdullah Ibn as-Shagir in his book Hilya)
***
5- Abu Said narrated from the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam:
“Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures - death, because the grave talks everyday, saying:
‘I am a house of loneliness. I am a house built on soil. I am a house of insects.’
When a believer is buried, the grave welcomes them, saying:
‘You are the dearest among those who walk above me. You will soon see what I will offer you.’ Then, it enlarges and opens a door to Paradise.
When an unbeliever is buried, the grave says:
‘You are not welcome. You are the worst among those who walk above me. You will soon see what I will offer you.’ Then, it tightens and opens a door to Hell. The unbeliever will watch like they are watching TV. In Hell they will be accompanied by seventy dragons which smell foul. If one of their breaths were to fall down on the earth, there would be no plants left. These dragons will disturb the unbeliever until the judgment day. This wrath is for the soul, not the body.”
The narrator said: The Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, said:
“The grave is either a garden of the gardens of Paradise or a pit of the pits of Hell.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 201; Tirmidhi narrated it as Hasen)
***
6- “Dead people are examined in their graves for seven days. They will be pleased to be given a feast in their names.” (Imam Ahmad narrated in the section Zuhd and Abu Nuaym in Hilya by Tavus; Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 235)
Some say that no feast will be permissible in the name of the dead. According to this narration, a feast, a mavlid and recitation of the Qur’an are all permissible.
Abu Zar Al Gifhari told his daughter, as his last will:
“Slaughter this lamb and serve it to those who come to my funeral.”
Such companions would not do something that they did not hear from the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam. The feast is to please the soul of the dead.

7- Imam Ghazali said:
Abdullah Ibn Masud, raidyallahu anh, said: “I asked the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam:
‘What is the first thing that a dead person meets in their grave?’
‘O Ibn Masud! Nobody has asked this question before. First, an angel named Ruman calls to the dead:
The Angel says:
‘Alas! Your paper is your shroud. Your saliva is your ink and your finger is your pen.’
The dead person tears off a part of their shroud. Then, this dead person begins to write their deeds, even if they are illiterate. He remembers all his deeds and all his sins. Then, this angel fastens this cloth to his neck. Here, the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, recited the 13th verse of Surah Isra: ‘And We have made every man's actions cling to his neck.’” (Imam Sharani, “Olum-Kiyamet-Ahiret, p. 112, Hadith no: 156)
***
8- “And We have made every man's actions cling to his neck, and We will bring forth to him on the Resurrection Day a book which he will find wide open.” (Isra, 13)
If someone asks that how a part of cloth can contain a life’s deeds, we say the following:
Your pocket PC contains thousands of addresses and calculates. Allah is able to turn this cloth into a computer. You can delete pages with a command on your PC and you can undelete them. Allah Taala will grant even better in the grave. In fact, technology manifests the eminence of Islam and the word of our Prophet.

9- Abu Huraira narrated from the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam:
“When a servant dies, they are welcomed by two black angels with green eyes (They are too horrible to be looked on) called Munqar and Naqir. They will ask the deceased:
‘What do you say about this Prophet?’ If he or she is believer, they will say:
‘He is the prophet and a servant of Allah. I testify that there is no god but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.’ They say:
‘We already know what your answer is.’
Then the grave is enlarged and lightened. They are ordered to sleep. They want to inform their family about the situation, yet they are not allowed to. They go to sleeping in a very comfortable way and sleep until the judgment day.
If they are a hypocrite, they will reply to the questions of the angels saying:
‘People have said some things. So have I. Yet, I do not know anything now.’ The Angels will say:
‘We already know what your answer is.’
Then his grave is tightened and he is tortured until the Judgment Day.” (Ihya, Vol. 4, Hadith no: 634, p. 899; Tirmidhi narrated the same. Ibn Hibban narrated a slightly different version.)
Some claim that there is no torture in the grave, based on the books of heterodox (batil) sects. Most of these claims have been produced by Wahabis. There are 72 heterodox sects. (Al-Uhud al Qubra, Imam Sharani, p. 15; Ramuz al Ahadith, Hadith no: 1045, 3213)
Our respected sheikh Abd-Al Qadir Giylani mentions the chiefs and discourses of those 72 sects in his book, Gunyat-at Talebeen. Muslims of our time should be aware of the claims of these people and avoid them. A snake in a dark room is more dangerous than a snake in a lighted room, because in a lighted room you can easily notice it and avoid it. Infidels and unbelievers are snakes in a lighted room, you can know who they are, but those who talk about ayahs and sunnah cannot be easily noticeable, they can poison you as a snake in a dark room, thus they make you rebellious and know nothing.

10- Narrated from Ibn Abbas: “the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, stopped by a garden of Madina or Makka. He heard a voice of two dead people being tortured in their graves.
‘These two persons are being tortured for a non-major sin.’ Indeed, one of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine while the other used to go about telling lies. The Prophet then asked for a green leaf of a date-palm tree, broke it into two pieces and put one on each grave. On being asked why he had done so, he replied: ‘I hope that their torture might be lessened until the time these are dried.’” (Sunan Nasai, Vol. 3-4, Hadith no: 2070; Kanz-al Irfan, Hadith no: 702; Imam Sharani “Olum-Kiyamet-Ahiret, Hadith no: 163, p. 123-124; Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim, as well)
That is why graveyards are planted. Plants pray for those in the graves.
My father (Sheikh) Bilal does not approve of trees being put at the head of graves, since either their roots may go deep inside the graves or birds may cause littering. The trees should be put on the edges of the graves.

11- “The debtor is not comfortable in his grave.” (Kanz-al Irfan, Hadith no: 706)

12- Narrated from Anas Ibn Malik:
“The torture in graves is postponed in the month of Ramadan.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 308; Bayhaki narrated in Ibn Rajab)
Hadith:
Calling azan will abolish torture in graves until the next azan.
Azan is called five times. So hearing the azan will remove the torture in the graves.
***
13- Narrated from Ibn Omar: the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, said:
“Those who say Lailahaillallah will not be tortured and harmed in the graves and Hashr.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 310; Tabaran, Abý Ya’la and Bayhaki narrated too)
Qur’an also orders us to say Lailahaillallah. (Ahzab, 41)

14- From Abdullah Ibn Omar:
“When anyone of you dies, he is shown his place both in the morning and in the evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise, he is shown his place in it; and if he is from the people of the Hell-Fire, he is shown his place therein. Then it is said to him: ' This is your place until Allah resurrects you on the Day of Resurrection.” (Bukhari, Tajrid Sarih, Vol. 4, Hadith no: 678)
People are treated according to those verses and hadiths. All are true and correct.

15- Avf Ibn Malik, radhiallahu anh, narrated:
“The Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, prayed a Janazah prayer and I heard him saying the following prayer and I memorized it:
‘O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, grant him security, provide him with a nice place and spacious lodgings, wash him (from his sins) with water, snow and ice, purify him from his sins as a white garment is cleaned from dirt, replace his present body with a better one, replace his present family with a better one, replace his present partner with a better one, make him enter Paradise and save him from the trials of the grave and the punishment of Hell.’" (Sihah Sitta, Vol. 9, Hadith no: 3066; Slightly different version narrated from Muslim, Tirmidhi, Nasai in Janaiz section)

17- Tabarani (in Al-Kabir), Hakim Tirmidhi (in Nawadir al Usul), and Isfahani (in Targib) narrated from Abdur Rahman Ibn Samurata, radhiallahu anhu, that he said:
"I have seen a man from my
ummah; the angel of death came to take his soul and his kindness towards his
parents came and pushed the angel of death away from him.
I saw a man from my ummah, whom the punishment of the grave
overtook. Then his wudu came and freed him from the punishment.
I saw a man of my ummah, whom was overwhelmed by devils, then the
dhikr of Allah came to him and pushed the devils away from him.
I saw a man of my ummah, who was losing his breath due to extreme
thirst. Every time he came close to a pool, he was turned away, then his fasting
during Ramadan came to him to give him a drink which quenched his thirst.
I saw a man of my ummah; the prophets were sitting down in circles, and when he came near to one (of the circles), he was turned away. Then his ghusl from jannaba (sexual defilement) took him by the hand and put him next to the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wa salam.
I saw a man of my ummah, in front of whom was darkness from all directions (behind, on the sides, below, above, etc.), and he was confused. Then his Hajj and Umrah came along and took him from the darkness and put him in the light.
I saw a man of my ummah, whose hand was being burnt by the heat and spark of Hellfire, then his charity came along and became a barrier between him and the flames. Also, this charity shaded his head.
I saw a man of my ummah trying to talk to the believers, but they did not speak to him. Then his enjoining the ties of kinship came along and said, 'Oh, Muslims, he fulfilled the ties of kinship, so talk to him.' So, the believers started talking to him and shook hands with him, and he shook hands with them.
I saw a man of my ummah, whom the angels of Hellfire (az-Zabaniya) overwhelmed. His enjoining the good and forbidding the evil came along and freed him from their hands and put him with the angels of mercy.
I saw a man of my ummah, kneeling on his knees, and between him and Allah (SWT), there is a veil. Then his good manners (husnu khulq) came and took him by his hand and put him in the company of Allah (SWT).
I saw a man of my ummah, whose book went to his left hand. Then his fear of Allah came along and took his book from his left hand and put it in his right hand.
I saw a man of my ummah, whose scale was light. Then his young children, who passed away during their youth, came and made his scale heavy.
I saw a man of my ummah, standing on the edge of Hellfire. Then his hopes in Allah (SWT) freed him from that, and he proceeded away from Hellfire.
I saw a man of my ummah, who went to Hellfire. Then his tears from fear of Allah came and freed him from that
I saw a man of my ummah, standing on the Sirat (over Hellfire), shaking like a leaf that shakes during a severe storm. Then his 'husna dhan' in Allah (thinking good in Allah) came along and calmed his fear down, so he proceeded.
I saw a man of my ummah, crawling on his stomach over the Sirat, and sometimes he was crawling, in this fashion, and sometimes he was hanging. Then his salat for the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, came along, and helped him to stand up on his feet, and saved him.
I saw a man of my ummah, who was at the gates of Jannah, but the gates closed before him. Then his shahaada (la ilaha illah) came along and opened the gates for him and put him in Jannah.
I passed by people who had copper claws tearing at their faces and chests. I asked, 'Who are these O Jibreel?' He replied: 'They are those who ate the flesh of people and insulted their honor.’
Qurtubi said that this is a great hadith. The Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, mentioned in this hadith special deeds that save one from awful situations.” (Imam Jalaladdin as-Suyuti, “Kabir Alemi”, p. 302-304)

85VISITING GRAVES
1- From Anas, radhiallahu anh:
“We were with Umar Ibn Khattab in a place between Mecca and Medina. He began to talk about the battle of Badr and he said:
‘Before the battle, the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, informed us of the exact spot where each of the infidel was to meet his end, saying:
‘With Allah’s permission, so will those who will be killed here tomorrow.’
Umar Ibn Khattab continued:
‘By Allah in Whose Hands my life is, I saw the dead bodies of those persons who were counted by Allah's Prophet in the Qalib (one of the wells) of Badr.’
‘When he halted at the edge of the well, he addressed the corpses of the Quraish infidels by their names and their fathers' names, "O so-and-so, son of so-and-so and O so-and-so, son of so-and-so! Would it not have pleased you if you had obeyed Allah and His Apostle? We have found true what our Lord promised us. Have you too found true what your Lord promised you?’
I said:
‘O Allah's Prophet! You are speaking to bodies that have no souls!’
The Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, said:
‘By He in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, you do not hear what I say any better than they do.’” (Sunan Nasai, Vol. 3-4, Hadith no: 2076)
***
2- From Anas, radhiallahu anh:
“That night, everybody heard the words of the Prophet before the dry dirty wells of Badr into which the corpses of twenty-four leaders of the Quraish were to be thrown. Standing, the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, addressed them as follows:
‘O Abu Jahl b. Hisham, O Umayya b. Khalaf, O Utba b. Rab'ila, O Shaiba b. Rabi'a, have you not found what your Lord promised you to be correct? As for me, I have found the promises of my Lord to be (perfectly) correct. You have discovered the truth of what I am saying haven’t you?’
Some said to him:
‘O Allah’s Messenger. Are you addressing dead people?’
He replied: ‘You do not hear any better than they, but they cannot reply.’” [Sunan Nasai, Vol. 3-4, Hadith no: 2077; Zubdat-al Bukhari, Hadith no: 1045; Islam Tarihi, Asim Koksal, Vol. 1-2 (2), p. 165]
According to the Ahl-e-Sunnah creed, not only dead Muslims but also dead infidels can see and hear. The proof is this hadith. Some wahhabis and perverted scholars refute this.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord.” (Baqara, 154, Al-e-Imran, 169)

Wahabis believe that visiting graves is a form of idolatry.
3- Narrated by Abdallah Ibn Buraydah, ibn al-Hasib reported that the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa salam, said:

I forbade you drinks except from skin vessels, but now you may drink from any kind of vessels, but do not drink from an intoxicant. I forbade you to eat the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, but now you may eat and enjoy it during your journeys. 87SEEKING THE HELP OF THE OCCUPANTS OF GRAVES
Wahhabis deny that it is possible to seek help from the occupants of the graves. They claim that our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, died as other people, so the dead cannot benefit the living. The Wahhabis belong to the fifth madhab, a perverted party. The parties apart from the four madhabs are called the fifth party, not matter how much their quantity. Their companions might be hodjas, scholars, religious workers or even presidents of religious office. They will be cast into the hell fire because they oppose the Qur’an.

88WAR FOR WOMEN
Answer to those who claim that women should not be allowed outside of the house:
Allah Almighty created man and women equal in terms of most things. In wartime, women can contribute to the fight. The women companions of the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, fought in wars, helped in sanitary matters and dug most of the graves for the martyrs.
When Abu Muslim was captured by the enemy, his friends attempted to rescue him yet they could not succeeded. His sister-in-law, Maymuna, along with some beautiful girls, went to the encampment of the enemy. She sold them wine there. Then, she put an anesthetic drug into Nasr-e Sayyad’s cup so he passed out. She took the key from him and saved Abu Muslim. The victory depended on his rescue. So, Maymuna did a good deed.

“Every time danger approached the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, I tried to rush to protect him, either with my arrow or my sword. As the Muslims scattered, few were left around the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. I saw the damned Ibn Qamia, chanting:
‘Where is Muhammad? Show me! If he is saved, then I am not saved!’
I approached him. He attacked me; I was wounded. And I attacked him, but he wore double armor.”
Um Rabi, radiallahu anha, said:
“I saw Nasiba with her shoulder wounded. Although her shoulder later healed, a gaping hole was still there. It was deep.” (Mawahib al Ladunniya, Vol. 1, p. 160-161)

8- “Khulsum bint Husain was wounded in the throat by an arrow during the battle of Uhud. Our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, applied his saliva to her throat and she was cured.”
Our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, both recited and applied his saliva. Some say: “Reciting is like blowing on knots, which Islam refutes.” I have been attacked since I recite and allow women to kiss my hand. Let them pay attention to this Hadith. The Qur’an is the same Qur’an and the cure is same cure. There are always patients and there are always doctors. Unbelievers and believers do not change, either. Those who believe in the healing of recitation are like the believers who believed in our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, who recited and cured patients. And those who do not believe in the healing of recitation are like the hypocrites who did not believe in our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, who recited and cured patients.
This was asked to my father (Sheikh) Bilal:
“Why do you allow women to kiss your hand?”
“I am the doctor of doctors. Those who cannot find healing in doctors find healing in me. Women are allowed to be examined by doctors. I am reciting the Qur’an. If I heal them by this noor of the Qur’an and the healing of recitation, why on the earth is it not allowable for them to kiss my hand? We have to be proud of healing through the recitation of the Qur’an. Allah Almighty knows what He will do. If He is not contented with our recitation, He would not grant healing.

9- “An infidel shot an arrow at a Muslim woman who was giving water to Muslim warriors and her private parts were exposed. The infidel laughed. Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas, the privileged companion of the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, shot an arrow at him and wounded him in throat. He fell down and his private parts were exposed. The Prophet laughed at him. He prayed for Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas:
‘O my Lord! Let him shot what he aims at and accept what he prays for.’ Hazrat Sa’d’s prayers were accepted and everybody benefited from him.” (Mir’at-e Kainat, Vol. 1, p. 457-458)

10- “Our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, was badly wounded in the Battle of Uhud and blood became clotted on his face and beard; his daughter, Fatima, started cleaning his face. Ali poured water on the Prophet's face, but this did not stop the bleeding, so Fatima burnt some rope and put its ashes on the cut, which stopped the bleeding.” (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 10, p. 202)

11- Aisha asked Allah’s Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam:
“O Prophet! We see jihad as the worthiest of deeds. Thus, will we not perform jihad?”
Allah’s Messenger said: ‘No, you will not. The worthiest of jihad for you is to go on pilgrimage.’
Aisha asked:
‘Do women have duties in terms of jihad?’
Allah’s Messenger replied: ‘Yes, they do, but without fighting (for example helping in sanitary matters, providing water, cooking food, helping the wounded). Moreover, they go on hajj and ‘umrah.” (Hayat Dusturlari, p. 136)
90TO THOSE CLAIMING THAT IF WOMEN ARE UNCOVERED ANGELS DO NOT COME
[To those claiming that angels do not come as the heads of some women are visible while performing dhikr of Allah;
There are three states (khal) in this tariqat, which arise in the dhikr of Allah, the prayer and recitation of the Qur’an. These are wajd, tawajud, and wujud. The dhikr of Allah, prayer and recitation of the Qur’an are done to achieve these states. In these states, one may not be able to control themselves. If a woman is in such a state in an assembly of dhikr which is all women, then she is excused. Even if her hair is uncovered, angels come to that assembly of dhikr. Allah Almighty assigns some angels to the assembly of dhikr. How do they come? Read below:
Because of His love, Allah sends assigned angels to some servants. He also sends assigned angels to the servants He wants to visit His wrath on or if He wants to differentiate them from others. There are some angels which convey deeds, sins and remembrance of Allah. (Al Uhud al Qubra (Imam Sharani) p. 318 (similar) Nothing can hinder them. In other circumstances, angels may be avoided.
“O my angels! Make them loved by servants!” Allah Almighty has assigned His angels. (Riyadh-as-Saleheen (Original and Translation), Hadith no: 386, p. 294)
These angels do not stop. The angels which record deeds and sins do not leave us while we are in the toilet. They are called Kiraman Katibeen. The exception is for ‘Uthman. Since he was too shy, he prayed:
“O my Lord! I am ashamed in front of the angels. Please do not let them come while I am in toilet.” Our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, also prayed. Allah Almighty accepted his prayer and the angels began to leave when Uthman went to the toilet.]
1- “Surah Maryam: When Maryam drew aside from her family, she took a veil (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our spirit, and there appeared to her a well-made man” (Maryam, 17) (Hulasat al Bayan, Vol. 8, p. 3200-3202) The tafseer of this ayat is explained as follows: “When Maryam took away her clothes in order to take a bath, Allah Almighty sent Jibril, alaihissalam. Jibril was in the form of a human and Maryam was naked. When she saw Jibril, she was worried:
‘Surely I fly for refuge from you to the Beneficent Allah, if you are one guarding (against evil).’ Jibril, alaihissalam saw Maryam when she was naked (Maryam, 18)
“This means the angel will come to the naked women”
“She took refuge in Allah when she saw a strange man appear out of nowhere. In Surah Maryam (Maryam,19) it is stated how Jibril comforted Maryam:
‘I am only a messenger of your Lord.’ (Jibril, Mikael, and Israfel, all, alaihimussalam, are messengers of Allah.) I will give you a pure boy.’” (Narrated in Mir’at-e Kainat, Vol. 1, p. 298)
He said that he was sent by Allah. According to some narrations, Jibril was very handsome. When Allah wished a pure boy for Maryam, she took refuge in Allah and she also liked Jibril. The spirit given by Allah to Jibril passed to Maryam. Her offspring came with this spirit, according to some scholars. Isa is from the spirit of Allah, so he is called Ruhullah (The Spirit of Allah). Prophets were assigned prophecy at the age of forty, but Isa, alaihissalam was assigned his prophecy at thirty. Our Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, was first created from the light of Allah Almighty, then he, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, was born from His Spirit.
There are three prophets who are fatherless:
Adam, alaihissalam (who was created from earth)
Isa, alaihissalam (who was created from the Spirit of Allah)
Yahya, alaihissalam.
Zakariya, alaihissalam, said:
“How shall I have a son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?” Allah said:
“Even thus does Allah do what He pleases.” (Al-e-Imran, 38-40)
Some prophets are assigned prophecy through praying:
Haroon, alaihissalam, became prophet with the prayer of Musa, alaihissalam,
Hurra, alaihissalam, became prophet with the prayer of Dawoud, alaihissalam,
Yaqub, alaihissalam, became prophet with the prayer of Ishaq, alaihissalam. We have explained these in general in our book.
[Hazrat Maryam was naked and still Jibril appeared there. Thus, the angels can come to naked women.]
(The Kiraman Katibeen, which are assigned by Allah Almighty, are already around us. Azrail, alaihissalam, is an angel and he takes the lives of everybody, be they naked or not.)

2- Narrated by Aisha, radiallahu anha:
“She was asked about the bath of the Prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. She brought a pot containing about a sa' of water (4.24-5.30 liters, according to Iraqi scholars) and took a bath and poured it over her head; at that time there was a screen between her and us.” (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, Hadith no: 187)
The explanation in Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, p. 206:
“The questioner was Abu Salam Abdullah b. Abdurrahman b. Awf, the milk son of her sister, Um Salama bint Abu Bakr, radiallahu anhum, and his milk brother, Abdullah b. Yazid (or Abdurrahman b. Abu Bakr, according to another narration), whom were all mahram (people with whom she could not marry).”
